Social Creative Inmates at Ministry of Law and Human Rights of Indonesia
In commemoration to the Indonesian 71st Independence Anniversary, FORSEAA Secretary General His Excellency Mr. Nico Barito launched the ‘Social Creative Inmates’ program together with Minister of Law and Human Rights of Indonesia Mr. Yasonna Laoly, together with the Ambassadors and Foreign Mission Representatives to Indonesia from Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Belarus, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Cambodia, Fiji, Georgia, Germany, Iran, Iraq, Ireland, Italy, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Laos, Libya, Mozambique, Myanmar, Nigeria, DPR of Korea, Palestine, Poland, Slovak, Seychelles, Solomon Islands, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Suriname, Sweden, Uzbekistan, Venezuela, UN Representatives, and Deputy Secretary General of ASEAN
Minister Yasonna said the concept of creative social inmate is a new terminology to prepare the good talents of inmates to be back in the society as small business entrepreneurs. Because in addition to coaching sentenced, prisoners should be educated by the good practices to produce results craft.
"This is just a small fraction of samples, in some places there are shoes, furnitures to even coffee barrister; so it's become a prisoner of our labor force in preparation for their return to society," he said.
Secretary General of FORSEAA expressed that we will help with the design development, capacity and skill of production and market promotion. We invite our colleague Ambassadors to help us promote the success and best practices of the social creative inmates and link us with business partners or social organization from their respective countries.
